AUG 11 Hunstanton - North and South
Dick Melton
Richard our local historian, has asked the council in vain
Why they cut hedges at the north end, while the south has gone down the drain
“We can’t cut hedges in the south they say, the birds are nesting there”
They never nest at the north end, it’s much too cold for them there
“I’ve never heard such rubbish!” says Richard all aflame
“The state of the south of Hunstanton, should make the Town Council ashamed!”
“There’s bottles and cans and litter, as far as the eye can see
And as for the paths, you can’t see them for the hedges and overgrown trees
Hunstanton in Bloom it may be
But only the north end it seems
The south doesn’t seem to matter
Well, it certainly does to me!
