DEC 10 A magical night for all!

Hayley Johnstone

Hello readers of the Hunstanton Newsletter. Now, you may have noticed but I appear quite often in the newsletter. I aim to write in the youth perspective each issue. I hope you enjoy them.

November the 5th is always a great day for celebration, and I for one had a fantastic time in Hunstanton.

Taking place near the light house and golf green, the night was a huge success. Walking to it, I could already hear the singers performing songs on stage. On arrival I saw a mass of people; it was a huge turn out.

The atmosphere was just wonderful and it looked as though everyone was having a wonderful time, as was I. I felt as thought there was a real family atmosphere present, children running around enjoying the build up to the huge display.

Fortunately for Hunstanton, the rain held off. And, apart from the cold, the weather was good.

The band really helped get into the mood, I saw groups of people singing and dancing to the songs, the band were exceptionally good.

There were rides for the youngsters and plenty of stalls to choose from, burgers, hot dogs and plenty of sweets. I treated myself to a bag of candy floss, and stood to wait for the wonderful fireworks to start.

Soon, the countdown began and on 0, the fireworks began. Straight away they started with a wonderful display of bright colours and pretty patterns.

They lasted for what felt like ages, it was a truly magical feeling watching them and I wanted to watch them for ever.

Hunstanton really does do a brilliant job when it comes to bonfire night, I truly applaud them. I also think it a generous idea to give the proceeds of the event to charity.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself; it was a great addition to my weekend. The fireworks were out of this World, entertainment brilliant and the atmosphere unbeatable. I’m sure many people will agree with me.
