A Monthly Publication

(Church of Our Lady and St Edmund, Sandringham Road, with St Cecilia’s, Dersingham)

 In January a Coffee Morning and Bring and Buy sale was held in our parish rooms in aid of the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. We are very grateful to the many local people who gave generous support to this event.  The proceeds, together with the results of collections taken in Church on successive Sundays, enabled us to send over £1055 to CAFOD who are a member of the Disasters Emergency Committee.

We were delighted to welcome fellow Christians from the area to prayers in our Church at Hunstanton and at the Convent, during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.  It was also good to visit the Union Church and to take part in the very well attended joint service at the Methodist Church in Heacham. Our thanks go to all who arranged the services and to all the Churches for their hospitality.

During Fridays in Lent there will be Ecumenical Stations of the Cross followed by a Lent lunch, held alternately in St Edmund’s, Northgate, and Our Lady and St Edmund in Sandringham Road. Proceeds from the lunches are sent to charities working against poverty. Everyone will be most welcome.

Services for Easter 2010

Services over Easter will as usual take place in both churches.  The timetable is below. (H) = Hunstanton       (D) = Dersingham

We are a friendly and outgoing parish, and are always happy to welcome visitors to our services, whether they are visiting the parish from elsewhere, or live in the area.  Refreshments are served after the 11am Mass every Sunday at the church in Hunstanton, and after the 9am Mass at Dersingham on the first Sunday of the month.  We also have a friendly and informal gathering after the 10.15 Mass at Dersingham on Wednesdays.  Do come and visit – we’d love to see you.
