MAR 10 EDITOR'S LETTER
Every now and again it’s good to have a change round and so this month I’ve moved my letter here.
If we stick to tradition this month we’ll all be spring cleaning our homes and chitting our early potatoes ready for planting on Good Friday, which this year falls on April 2nd. Before then we have Mothering Sunday on 14th March and before the month is out, we change the clocks as British Summer Time starts on 28th.
This has been one of the coldest winters I can remember in Hunstanton and I am certain that I’ve lost some of the more tender subjects in my garden but as a ‘glass half-full’ person I’m looking on this as an opportunity to try some new plants and combinations, so until the much nicer weather arrives I will be browsing through catalogues and making plans for the spring. Whatever your March plans include, I hope you’ll enjoy this edition of the newsletter which is crammed full of articles, letters, adverts and an Easter Egg competition on page 17.
As there were so many changes to the clubs listings, they appear again in the centre pages; they are designed to be pulled out and kept for reference as they won’t be in next month’s edition.
Thank you to all the advertisers, the income from them allows us to produce the magazine. Thanks also to Margaret for her typing, Vivien for the cover and the delivery team.
A date for your diary… St George’s Day, April 23rd. There is to be a special concert at the Princess Theatre; more details in the April newsletter. Until then, enjoy your month.
