FEB 10 GUIDED MEDITATION CLASSES FOR RELAXATION AND STRESS RELIEF AT SERENITY
By Debra Buckby
Before research studies confirmed it’s beneficial effects on physical and mental health, meditation was invariably practiced as part of a spiritual journey: a search for eternal truths, lasting happiness and peace of mind. Without involving any beliefs or value system meditation promises answers to the age-old questions of spiritual travel, who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? However, now that word has spread about the astonishing positive effects of meditation such as: improved health, stress relief, decreased levels of anxiety, anger and depression, increased energy, greater creativity, self \confidence and self esteem, relief from insomnia and not to mention the anti ageing benefits. Many people have successfully integrated meditation into their daily routines, practicing it to bring inner peace and well being into stressed and hectic lives.
At Serenity Natural Healing Centre we have been successfully running meditation courses and groups for the past nineteen months and are delighted to bring your attention to a new beginners meditation course due to commence at the end of February. This course will run for six weeks and is ideal for people with little or no meditation experience who feel the need to bring balance and relaxation into their lives.
If you would like to book a place, or have a chat about the course and meditation in general. Please contact us on 01485 535321 or alternatively pop into Crystal Cave where we will be delighted to answer any questions that you may have.
We are pleased to offer the services of Paul Betts on Saturday February 13th 2010 who will be here at Serenity with his Kirlian Camera offering a chance to have your aura photographed and for him to offer an interpretation of the findings. If you would like further information or to book an appointment please contact us on 01485 535321. Paul has written the following explaining this technique.
Kirlian GDV Technique”Aura Photography
Kirlian photography was first developed in the 1930’s by a Russian scientist called Semyon Kirlian, using black and white photography and a kirlian camera. You are able to take a photo of the invisible energy ’Aura’ around your hands. The hands are linked to the meridian system and has been mapped out to give you a psychological snapshot of someone’s life there and then.
Kirlian GDV Technique was developed in the 1990’s by Prof Korotkov and is based on the Kirlian camera, but has been made a lot smaller and is computerised thus being more user friendly and also giving you a lot more information about the mind and body. It takes a photo of the energy around all your fingertips as they are divided up into all the different parts of your body Just like in reflexology with the feet’ using the meridian system. The information from this picture gives you information about the persons health/well-being and how they are getting on in life for example the legs are about moving forward in life, stomach - digesting life’s experiences or shouldering responsibility This equipment is currently licensed for use in Russian hospitals and is also used in the training of Russian athletes and military. It is also used by various therapists and companies around the world for working with clients and testing products. It is also very good for measuring stress. A lot of people don’t recognise stress and that it can lead to illness. It is believed in eastern medicine and slowly in the west that anxiety=stress=illness=disease, so using the Kirlian GDV machine acts as good prevention.
