A Monthly Publication

              The appeal was started in 2007 with the aim of providing a youth club in Hunstanton because since youth facilities were withdrawn some 10-15 years ago, there has been nowhere for young people to meet socially outside the school or home environment to hone the skills of communication, teamwork and growing up. This ‘club’ is to be open to all regardless of their financial status so that young people can fulfil this important part of their social upbringing.

As part of their commitment to the appeal, Sainsbury’s organised a hamper raffle in store which raised a magnificent £950, and the winner was Christine Walford from Heacham who is pictured here with store manager Pat Wymer and Hunstanton Mayor, Cllr Christine Earnshaw.

Donation buckets are placed strategically within Sainsbury’s and collecting continues to swell funds for this important appeal.

Also in aid of the Mayor’s Appeal, Hunstanton Concert Band braved the freezing weather playing a selection of carols and Christmas music at Sainsbury’s on 20th December.
