What a marvellous meeting with a full house and lots of chocolate to try because it was a talk by THORNTONS Chocolates. In the tastings we had Galaxy, Cadburys and Thorntons  -  yum, yum. We were shown the range they produce, including toffees and sweets for children. The firm started out making toffee which was sold on markets in the Midlands; e.g. Alfreton, Sheffield and Leeds. New products go under an introductory period before investing in special machinery for that particular job.

On the table was a huge display of their products, and towards the end we swarmed around to buy our Christmas presents while dipping fruit in melting chocolate and eating there and then.

Plans are afoot for Christmas 2010 and Easter eggs are ready now  -  what about an Easter talk?!
