NOV 09 LAVENDER HILL MOB THEATRE COMPANY

By Sandra Hohol

The Johnny Cash Show at the Princess Theatre,  starring one of our Patrons, Roger Dean, was the venue for the last performance for our youngsters when they joined him on stage to sing a few of Johnny Cash’s songs, plus one of their own.  There were a few new faces in our group so this was quite daunting for them, being their first time in front of all the lights and audience.  Nothing seems to phase the group – they rehearsed once with Roger prior to the show and then again in a sound check at the Theatre. Unbeknown to the audience, the whole band, Roger and LHMTC only had one full rehearsal, but no-one knew this as the thunderous  applause filled the auditorium! Well done everyone!

So back to rehearsals for LH’s own show – ‘Something For Everyone!’  which will be happening as soon as this newsletter reaches your doors!  5 – 8 November at the Princess Theatre, Hunstanton with afternoon and evening performances. A review show with usual brilliant, fun and frolics and full family entertainment plus comedy and drama with award winning sketch performed in the Hunstanton Festival of Arts.  Please some and support the youngsters – YOU WILL BE SURPRISED AT WHAT THEY CAN DO!! Tickets available from the Princess Theatre Box Office, 01485 532252 or just come along.

Just a reminder – Meetings for everyone, aged 4 upwards – no matter what ability or disability, capability or background – EVERYONE IS WELCOME!! Even if you cannot sing or act – you will be surprised at what you may be able to achieve and there are no auditions.  The first night is free and thereafter only £1 per night and there are no hidden extras!  Monday is Dance and Movement, 5 – 8pm, Tuesdays are Workshops for everyone 5 – 7pm and Wednesday nights are ‘Writing and Devising’ for acting techniques and writing plays 5 – 8pm.  All held at St Edmunds Church Hall,  Church Street, Hunstanton (behind the church).  More information; contact Sandra Hohol, Publicity Officer, 01485 534827 or CLOAKING or view our website; www.lhmtc.co.uk
