NOV 09 HUNSTANTON'S CHRISTMAS CRACKER!
Sunday 22nd November 1pm – 6pm
Following the success of last year’s event, the 2009 Hunstanton Christmas Cracker will be bigger and better than before!
Hunstanton’s Chamber of Trade is pulling out all the stops this year to bring the town together for this bumper festive event featuring Father Christmas in his grotto, giving away presents to all the good girls and boys. Then the Carnival Queen will join him as his ever-faithful reindeer pull his sleigh along the High Street in preparation for their deliveries on Christmas Eve.
Not only that, but for the children there will be Huskies, fun fair rides, a steam engine attraction, bungee trampoline and a D.J. on stage to keep them fully entertained.
KLFM will bring its own brand of fun to the event while the ever-popular Lavender Hill Mob will make another welcome appearance.
The Hunstanton Town Band will be playing all your favourite Christmas carols, guaranteed to fill you with Christmas spirit.
There will be craft and gift stalls around the Spinney where you will be able to buy a present or two and delicious burgers, doughnuts and hot chestnuts to enjoy.
The Mini Car Club will parade, hooting their horns and decorated to the nines, in hope of winning a prize.
To round the day off, the ever-youthful Prince of Pop, Cliff Richard (Stars In Their Eyes Winner, and local boy, Jimmy Jemain), will do the honours by switching on the lights.
There’s free parking in the town’s car parks and the Searles’ Christmas land train will be on hand, ferrying people to and from the town centre.
If you were there last year you’ll know how good it’s going to be so put the 22nd November in your diary and get ready for some Christmas cheer!
