Balance.  This is what Libra is all about, so get your dog a nice big ball and get him to jump on it until he can stay on the top (on his hind legs of course) and encourage him to bowl it along whilst still on top. He might make a go of tight-rope walking too.  Being Libra, a nice outfit is encouraged – tutus for girls and tights and tops for boys – in purples and pinks.  Libra dog won’t mind a bit of hair tinting and shaving either.  The Americans go in for all that nonsense, and Libra dog, so long as it’s in the best possible taste and the hair-do makes him look beautiful, will be quite agreeable and won’t bite you for doing it.  Matching outfits for doggie and owner might be rather cute and he won’t be averse. Don’t give him the opportunity for decision making however - you know, which ball do you want, the white one or the red one – this will do his doggy head in.

Libras smile a lot, and so will your dog.  When he curls his lips and shows his teeth that’s what he is doing, smiling and being amenable.  Libras like to make friends and be liked, so your dog will always be going up to people to be patted and made a fuss of and of course in the canine world, he will be one of the most friendly to others of his ilk.  He would be a good candidate for Crufts, because not only will he look beautiful, he will behave wonderfully and will appreciate being all smartened up for the occasion and making all those new friends.

Libras love to be loved and to love, (ruled by Venus) so lots of tail wagging and licking will be his forte –  if you have a  Libran Great Dane,  prepare to be licked to death.  Venus will bring your dog an appreciation of all things beautiful.  He will be happiest in lovely surroundings and would rather like a  basket lined with ruched satin and  edge-to-edge velvet cushions in pastel hues.

By the way, this balance thing.  Please make sure that  your Libran dog’s basket is aligned at the centre of the wall, with well balanced furniture around.  He will be very uncomfortable if this isn’t taken care of.  Anything ‘off balance’ will drive him around the bend. 

Libra is an air sign, so your dog will be a good communicator.  – friendly and waggy-tailed.  If you are single and looking for a partner, there is no need for computer dating.  Just take your dog out and he will introduce you to the nicest people. Summary:  Has difficulty making mind up over which tree to pee up.
