SEP 09 CRAFT CLUB
By Cynthia Easeman
One of our members’ husband “Ray”, said craft meant to him “Can’t Remember A Flipping Thing” Probably because his wife like us, once crafting forget everything, meal times, house-work and boring things like that.
We meet in St. Edmund’s Hall, once a month, usually the first Monday morning, 9 am to about 1 pm. It costs £5 per session, to cover insurance, materials, rent, refreshments etc.
There is a program of crafts on offer on that particular morning, although people are welcome to bring their own favourite craft and do that if they wish.
There are about 20 on our “books” but usually we get 11 attend, coffee tea and biscuits are available and members just help themselves when ready. It is an opportunity to relax, talk to one another, share problems, support each other and generally to have a really good morning with maybe an experience of a new craft, or one we have not tried before.
On November 5th, we are running a coach trip to NEC Birmingham for “Crafts for Christmas” costing £25 each to include entry fee. There will be pick ups at Hunstanton, Heacham, Dersingham and King’s Lynn, then straight there for maximum browsing time.
The crafts we have tackled so far, are Parchment, Die-cut Decoupage, Pyramage (twisted and reverse) Jewellery and Cross Stitch. If you would like to come to the group or join us in our trip to the NEC please ring Sandra Robinson on 01485 532012.
