SEP 09 FLU FRIENDS

The numbers of cases of swine flu in Britain are relatively few and mild at the moment. However, the British Government and World Health Organisation are taking the H1N1 virus seriously.  From history, it’s known that there could be a stronger, more widespread second wave of flu, possibly in the winter. So it is wise to be prepared and have a flu friend.

Flu friends could collect medicines, food and other essential supplies for you if you are ill. It is important that you do not do this yourself and stay at home as you may pass the flu virus to others.

Cllr John Crisford has asked the Newsletter to publish a list of people willing to be a flu friend here in Hunstanton and district, so if you feel you could help, please telephone, e mail  or write to me at the Newsletter (contact details on page 2).

This is the start of the list for the flu friend network:

John Crisford, 17 Princess Drive Tel: 534233

Richard Bird, 21 Austin Street Tel: 532565

Lisa Powell, Town Hall Tel: 532402
